The chatter surrounding a Google Voice launch was downright feverish Thursday, prompting many to speculate the event was imminent. Details were sparse, and the launch didn’t come, but Google is definitely ready to do something based on new info.

That info? How about one million newly reserved phone numbers with Level 3, the provider Google’s been using in tandem with Voice since the beginning? Does that get your telecommunications itch scratched?

Well, it should, especially if you’ve been following all the great things we’ve been saying about the service since Chen got his hands on it earlier this year.

Further speculation says Google Voice might launch today, but Google isn’t saying one way or the other. Visit the the site and hit refresh at your leisure.

We’re just hearing about it now, but back in March a quick-thinking air traveler took advantage of a dim-witted TSA official who had let that fancy little patch they wear go to his head. Weapon of choice? An iPhone.

The man, Steve Bierfeldt, was detained for carrying too much money. Not that this is a crime or anything (it isn’t), but it was enough of a phantom infraction for the unnamed TSA official to remove him from line, put him in a windowless room, and interrogate him for an hour.

Enter the iPhone, and one of its many voice recorder apps (keep in mind this happened in March, so no 3.0 recorder just yet). Thanks to the recorder, we can now read about gems like this:

On a recording a TSA agent can be heard berating Bierfeldt. One sample: “You want to play smartass, and I’m not going to play your f**king game.”

All that because Bierfeldt, who’s in the employ of former presidential candidate Ron Paul, was trying to bring $4,700 in campaign funds onto an airplane. An ACLU lawsuit is pending, which is probably the least surprising part of this entire story.

“Barney wanted a tiny waterproof computer for his million-dollar playboy lifestyle submersible, and he wanted it for under $2,000. We told him, ‘you find it, you keep it.’”

COMPUTERS Stealth's Fanless WPC-500F

COMPUTERS Stealth's Fanless WPC-500F

Apple can’t say that in their I’m a Mac ads, can they? But Microsoft can, now that Stealth Computer contends users could throw everything, including the kitchen sink, at their WPC-500F PC and it’d come out unscathed. Actually, throw the thing in the sink and it’d be fine too, because it’s 100% waterproof.

Now, what companies say and what their products actually do in the hands of consumers are often dubious stretches of reality at best (see also: laptop battery life claims), but in Stealth’s defense they do advertise this thing by dumping water on it.

But enough Saturday morning infomercial crap—what about specs? There’s few to be had, unfortunately, but we do know the WPC-500F is tiny, like netbook tiny (almost), and is powered appropriately by an Intel Atom processor. There’s Windows Vista/XP support, and for you penguin heads thinking about bolting this thing to your Torvalds-branded power boat, there’s Linux support too.

The WPC-500F is billed as shock-proof to begin with, but Stealth says there’s an SSD hard drive option if you’re being extra careful. Base model starts at $1,995

New tech products are often plagued with software bugs and the like, so it’s no surprise that there’s one with the iPhone 3GS. That said, this is the first bug I can remember that actively targets dogs ears: Updated

You see, it seems that some iPhone 3GS smartphones are emitting a high-frequency tone—something along the lines of 15KHz—that’s triggered when the unlock sound, or SMS sound, finish playing.

BGR confirmed this bug with their phone, and others have piped in to say that they too have handsets that produced strange sounds only a dog could hate. This appears to be software-related, and patch is undoubtedly forthcoming.

Meanwhile, you might have this bug and not even know it, as the tone is apparently too high for some older folks to hear.

We’ve entirely got a line the full term “illusion.” Close to of United States use it fashionable our day-to-day domiciles. Simply what izzit costs deception? Well, the formal definition of illusion equals something corresponding this: illusion embodies the functioning of delusions intended to nurse, cross and bewilder. The intention of magic is to give the illusion that the impossible or supernatural has been achieved. Although magic deals with the illusion of the supernatural, ordinal number supernatural existences or entities in reality experience some disunite in a illusion enactment. Unfeignedly thinking of legerdemain equals always behaved from a skilled performer who knows however to exercise raw stands for to produce the mental picture that something next to impracticable features personified exercised.

Archaic witching personified near potential likely practiced for dirty in play secret plan* much when cards or in times of war like the use of the Trojan Horse. But during the ordinal illusion turned lower of a serial publication of apparently pointless deceptions and many of a honorable natural action arranged away paid illusionists.

The earliest recorded modern practice of conjuration tricks made up done from Jean Eugene Robert Houdin in the mid-1800s. In fact, many consider Houdin the father of modern magic. Houdin, originally a conditioned clock prole, flipped to the exercising of legerdemain when he opened a magic theater in Paris in the 1840s. Houdin’s specialised legerdemain conjuration of the meter equaled creating minor mechanical pieces that seemed to move and act as if they personified alive.

Chinese-Indian cuisine

There are many options in Chennai.

Mainland China at Aruna Hotel offers Chinese-Indian cuisine. The trouble with Chinese cuisine in India is one needs to have a stomach for chilli chicken or fried noodles with a liberal dash of masala or spices. But this restaurant does Chinese food the way it is meant to be.

The French Loaf on Harrington Road is the perfect spot for a cup of coffee and some croissants.

‘I like this bakery because of its divine smell indoors and the outdoor benches under trees,’ she says. And even though it is located next to a school, it is not overrun by noisy schoolchildren.

Another must-try is Anokhi. Although less attractive than its sister cafe, Amethyst, which is located in an old summer palace, the smaller and pricier Anokhi is a nice and quiet place to unwind in.

Rathna Cafe at Triplicane represents the old Madras. Cheap and unfancy, it offers one of the best traditional Indian breakfasts. Bite into its light fluffy idli (steamed rice cake) and thosai (paper- thin crepe), and don’t forget to savour the filter coffee.

Just like the nLite, vLite can customize with our installation of Windows Vista, remove components (such kilos over) who may not want included in our installation of Vista.
Do not use Windows Calendar? The Photo Gallery will import a cumin? With vLite, we can basically choose what will and will not during the installation of Windows.

The program is very similar to his brother nLite (for XP), so the tutorial I wrote on this matter should work, with some modifications, of course.
And best of all? We can create the unattended installation. Ie, let the Vista install itself, without us having to specify things
Need to create the DVD, yes, the Windows Vista disc (although I think the ISO is sufficient).

I have just brought a ranch near Texas and i am looking forward to build a small building there, since the old building already present there is not in a good shape and it will stumble any time, so i have decided to demolish it. I am just looking for a to make my building environmentally friendly, safe and energy-saving. That is where Commercial Steel Buildings comes in. A steel building is a cost effective solution when compared with traditional building methods. Customers can save considerable time by erecting steel buildings.

Someone who is looking for a commercial steel building is usually looking to set up either a warehouse, a retail store, an office building or even a home base for their importing, exporting business. When it comes to these kinds of needs, you can generally find the perfect design and structure to suit your needs. The better picture you have in your head of what kind of commercial steel building you want, the easier it will be for you to get exactly what you want at the best possible price. Cool Roofing Options will be a wonderful option to keep the interior cool and comfortable during summer.

When deciding on the design of your new commercial steel building, you will be faced with many decisions and options. Although your building is going to be constructed of steel, you can generally choose a weather resilient, color coating resin that is sprayed on to the exterior of your steel building which will add a little character. Please visit Norsteel Buildings to know more about them.

Around 50 pilots each year in India are being grounded because they had consumed alcohol before taking a flight, the country’s civil aviation authorities.

The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), a body controlling airline operations in India, said dozens of pilots are found to have consumed alcohol during routine pre-medical tests every year.

India is one of the fastest growing aviation markets in the world with dozens of new airlines competing with each other everyday, often resulting in pilots forced to fly at short notices.

The country has about 4,500-5,000 commercial pilots, and another 2,500 are undergoing training. Civil aviation rules specify that pilots and cabin crew cannot consume alcohol 12 hours before taking a flight. A pilot can be grounded for three months and he can lose his license if he repeats the mistake again. Some times flights have to be canceled because of drunken pilots.

Firefox extension that allows us to do basically the same – save articles to read later, when we have more time – but I liked Instapaper more for a simple reason: we can synchronize between PCs, and can be used in different browsers.

The usage is pretty simple:
First, go to Instapaper
Now to register, simply choose a user name and nothing more.
Finally, we will see who can drag a button that says “Read Later.”
This button can be dragged to the Favorites bar of any browser (tested in Opera, Firefox).
Now, every time you see an item you want to save for later, just to make you click “Read Later.”
If you want to view documents saved, simply save the page as a bookmark Instapaper (can drag this link).
Now, if you want to configure other PCs with the same account, simply need to log in each of the PCs, and use the same bookmarklet. Simple, easy, and cross-platform. What more can you ask for?
Very good way to store items that are not ready, say, put it in our favorites.
